For the first time I actually flew over the Andes instead on running or busing through them.
This was a pretty amazing new appreciation of their vastness, beauty and similarity to our own Southern Alps. I felt really proud flying over the route that I had travelled by foot twice, as for the first time in my sea2summit7 adventures I have seen a birds eye view of the distance I ran and climbed.
Underneath this pride is still the apprehensive feeling of the challenge that lays before me. This time I know exactly what I am in for and to be honest, I would rather be naive.
After a terrible day of stomach pains I feel my guts are stabilising and now it is time to get some food into me and have a good night sleep before beginning the prep work tomorrow.
I will post a detailed itinerary of our mountain plan so it will be easier to follow our progress. Ciao
Prayers and blessings for health, strength, energy, a WONDERFUL success and safe return home…
