You may or may not be aware that this week is mental health awareness week. If you know someone who is struggling with mental illness then this is a great opportunity to throw your arm over a shoulder and show your support.
You may not feel qualified to give advise but you can always listen, hang out and just include those who are battling in your day.
This evening I am going to to Tihoi Venture School near Tongariro to give a talk about my adventures and their correlation with mental illness and asking for help. Like most schools they have had unfortunate circumstances surrounding this topic so I hope to provide some insight into strategies to cope with the struggles in life.
Also if you are having a dark day and need someone to talk to then please do not hesitate to send me an email dave@sea2summit7.com or PM on the Facebook page Sea2summit7
